5. The Snug4108 W. Magnolia BLVD.
Burbank, CA 91505 Feel like getting in touch with your non-existent Irish roots? If so, The Snug is the place for you! A dive bar without any of that grimy-dive feel, The Snug has your standard Irish Pub flair and affordable drinks. Happy hour is from 4-7 and they have a large selection of whiskey. You can drink for as low as three dollars! Best of all, the bartenders are incredibly friendly and give you free pretzels! |
4. Wokcano150 S San Fernando Blvd
Burbank, CA 91502 Wokcano has one of the best and longest happy hours around town. Happy hour runs from Sunday through Monday from 11am to 2am; and Tuesday through Saturday from 3pm to 7pm and again from 10pm to 2am. The drinks and food are all about half-price during happy hour. Come for five-dollar sushi rolls, stay because you had one too many five-dollar sake bombs! |
3. The Fat Dog11050 Magnolia Blvd
North Hollywood, CA 91601 The Fat Dog in NOHO has an incredible happy hour from 4-7 pm. Here you’ll find five-dollar well drinks, three dollar beers including Lagunitas IPA, or for the dignified day-drinker, four dollar house wine. But, if you just want to grab a bite to eat, The Fat Dog also has a happy hour food menu. Feel free to stuff your face with a four dollar mini cheeseburger & fries, six-dollar Swedish Meatballs, and a four dollar bbq pork-belly sandwich! |
2. The Other Door10437 Burbank Blvd
North Hollywood, CA 91601 The Other Door is a great place in North Hollywood to grab a cocktail and catch some live music. The place opens at 4pm and Happy Hour runs until 8. Here you’ll find custom made infused liquors, beers on tap including Old Rasputin and Franziskaner, and even Absinthe if you feel like meeting the green fairy. If indie music is your thing, you can catch a live show every Wednesday night for five bucks. Or if karaoke is more your style, The Other Door has that every Monday night. Live music, absinthe, and a pool table, what more can you ask of a bar? (heads up: it’s called the Other Door because the front door is not actually the entrance. Go through the other other door!) |
1. Dublin's815 W 7th St
Los Angeles, CA 90017 Okay, Dublin's isn’t actually in the San Fernando Valley but we’d be remiss if we didn't give Downtown a shout-out. Dublin's is an Irish sport bar where you can catch a King’s game, a Laker’s game, or The Dodgers letting down the city one more time (this was written during the playoffs, and Rick was very sad). The happy hour here is awesome as you can buy a drink and get one free and you could order a half-priced steak sandwich for 9 bucks. |
