Grabbing coffee is my favorite part of the day. As crazy as it seems, I’m one of those people that simply can’t function without coffee. However, when grabbing my cup of joe’, I like to discover new spots as I go about getting my drink.
One of my favorite spots is Coffee Commissary in Glendale. While Coffee Commissary has many locations throughout Los Angeles, the one in Glendale is my favorite because of their atmosphere and menu. Another perk about this location is the parking because its very easy and free, which is not a usual combination for coffee shops in LA.

I think the atmosphere certainly makes this my favorite Commissary. It’s a very relaxed space where one can totally work, study, read but its also a family friendly space which makes it fun as well. The coffee shop itself is also roomy enough where even when they’re busy, it still doesn’t feel too crowded. They have 2 coffee bars, booth seating, and two outdoor seating areas as well. It’s also decorated with a nice retro vibe and colorful patterns which makes the space totally Instagrammable. My favorite time of day to go here us night time because the outdoor lights are on and the atmosphere is even more relaxed than usual!
Another perk about this Coffee Commissary is their large food menu because aside from their coffee/tea menu, they also serve food here which makes it perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends as well. My personal favorite item is the Commissary Club sandwich. I like to pair that with an Iced Cubano with oat milk. This is my go-to order and I can’t get enough of either.
Besides the yummy food such as the Veggie Burrito, Kale Caesar and Tofu Scramble and their yummy drinks, there is also Commissary merchandise you can buy such as baseball caps, bagged coffee grounds and mugs. Overall, Coffee Commissary (Glendale ) is the perfect spot for hanging out and of course, grabbing coffee. It's definitely one I recommend if you haven’t been before and worth trying out!
